Maria Elena Bello

Maria Elena Bello is an American actress from the United States. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). Bello was a major player on television as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998), along with other prominent roles, like Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath as well as Jacqueline Sloane in the first season of Goliath, a Special Agent on NCIS between 2017 and 2021. Bello was born April 18 1967 in Norristown Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Kathy, a school nurse and teacher as well as Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a working-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. [7][8] She majored in political science at Villanova University. After graduation, Bello honed her acting abilities in several New York theater productions. Bello is the mother of Jackson and Dan McDermott, her ex-boyfriend. In November 2013 Bello wrote about having a sexual relationship with her then-partner, Clare Munn. The book she published was titled Whatever...Love Is love: Questioning the Labels we Give Ourselves (Dey Street Books April 28 and 29, 2015).
